The design of the CD shows two hands, one light skin and one darker skin embracing each other. This shows me that they see a world of racial harmony and that people no matter of race or gender should be as one. The title of the album "Science and faith" leads me to believe the band may have a strong spiritual side to them, meaning that with all today’s technology moving forward so fast, you still need faith and belief in things we may not understand completely, to make everything else in the world seem worthwhile.

Chart positioning diagram

The first diagram shows the positioning of the album in the first 4 weeks and how it maintained first and second places in the UK album charts respectively moving in and out of the top two spots.

Also the release of "For the first time" the first single release from the album (Science and Faith) this shows how the single came in at number 5 in the first week gained a place in two weeks following, then slowly fell in the charts but still in a very respectable position only just outside the top 10.

The image of the band is very Contemporary, they seem to always wear dark colours but look quite smart as well as keeping the rock image, this is not a bad image for the fans who may copy the style, and it is not offensive in any way, compared to other styles such as rap for instance who wear their trousers very low and wear hoddies which some people find slightly intimidating. In the photograph the front man Danny O’Donoghue is smoking and in this day and age is not acceptable in any way due to the health problems smoking can cause, and this photo to the younger generation can be portrayed very wrong and influence the younger generation to start smoking?
